A administração Obama mandou retirar os versículos da Bíblia que a administração Bush tinha mandado estampar nas miras das armas que o Marine Corps e o exército encomendaram a uma empresa (cerca de 300 mil entregues até agora).

Os talibans da administração Bush encomendaram armas com dizeres do género: JN8:12, que quer dizer John 8:12 "Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, 'I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life'"; ou 2COR4:6, que quer dizer "For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ".
